Sound Card suggestions

I'm currently using onboard sound on my A8R-MVP, but for games it isnt the best (I play a lot of counterstrike and I cant quite tell where people are!) I was looking for some suggestions for a new card.

Ideally Id like it to have 5.1 availability on it so I can listen to music and watch surround sound DVDs as well. Any suggestions out there?

Depends on your budget really I would say for gaming you want to get a X-Fi Xtreme Music of f your budget is lower get an audigy 2zs or audigy 4.

Not really bothered about budget...kinda treating myself lol Just looking for the best value for money card tbh

Yeah i just did the same!! I got the XFi extreme music as i have no need for the front bay outputs of the other models it is definately worth the money sounds fantastic. All depends what outputs you need etc.

My main concern is having some way of swaping my headphones out for speakers..as its a pain to go behind the PC to keep changing sockets
