Sound Driver?

Hey there

Well today I have installed my new 650w PSU and Radeon HD3850 and put in an extra gig of ram. The only problem is my sound doesn't seem to be working and according to PC Wizard my sound is related to the ATI built-in graphics thing that was on this system before I installed the new video card (I used a different PC before this, this one was my parents until they told me I could have it so I upgraded it). My question is, how do I go about getting ATI sound drivers so my built-in sound will actually work without it taking up any of my 2GB of Ram and overwriting my 3850 drivers?

Thanks for your help and time.

The 3850 has built in sound for HDMI

Go into >control panel >sound and audio devices

Set the default device (audio tab) to something other than the 3850 i.e whatever sound solution you are using.

Apparently it's not the drivers that are the problem as I have resolved that issue, it appears to be my speakers as they are making a funny noise and not picking up any sound, nothing is on mute so it should be playing sound through the speakers but they don't appear to be working. They are USB powered speakers and require no drivers (there isn't any driver disc) so I don't know what the problem is. They are plugged into the same place I had them plugged in on my other computer and they worked fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your help and time.
