first you need to check the manual for your 7900gtx and card itself to see if it has a audio connection on the pcb. but the better solution is simple upgrade to a graphic card that has onboard audio. you can pick up at gt520 for £32
My 260 came with a cable like this, to connect it to the SPDIF mobo connector. When they started including this though I don't know:

well the gt 520 has a full 1gb of ram where the 7900gtx only has 512mb, the 7900gtx is dx10, where the gt520 is dx11. thing you got to remember is the 520 is three generation newer than the 7900gtx so their be lot of perormance improvements to it over nvidia 7xxx series card. gt520 should play most game on 1080p at medium level, but if you want to play games like bf3,mw3 at 1080p with high to utlra setting you looking at 560ti and above(ati 6870 and above) for future proofing you want a card with 2gb of ram. all depends on what you want to do and how much you want to pay, but the gt 520 is good short term solution that will allow you to watch your movies and play games while you either save up or research which graphic card you want to go for. looking at the spec alone the gt 520 is a much faster card than the 7900gtx
What system are you connecting to? can you not use the onboard jack or something?
Other than that, I'd suggest getting something cheap second hand
And your card doesn't have the connection above? (sorry i dont know when they started including it)
Is this for gaming or just movies etc...?
One question, does your 7900GTX have a HDMI port?
