Right fellas heres one for ya! Basically, last night pc was fine, working fine and playing music a plenty. Turned it on this morning and to my surprise there was no windows *bing bong* start up noise.

Anyway, thought this was just me so i turned my speakers up, logged into windows and opened itunes.... and no sound, it played the tracks fine just no sound coming through the speakers. Tried various other media players all with the same effect....nothing.

Next i checked the windows sound setting and yep they are all fine. After this i checked my realtek audio manager, did a test on the speakers and yep sound came out of each individual speaker to prove they are working. So now i turn to you guys, what the hell can be wrong with my pc this time!

By the way, im runnging Vista Premium if that helps.

Thanks in advance

whats your default sound device? (system tray, little speaker icon, right click > playback devices)

maybe the default device has chanced or something
