Sound via two different sources?

Hi all, I have a TV in my office which does not connect to an aerial. Instead my TV is linked to my PC using HDMI so I can stream Freesat, Amazon, Netflix to the TV via my PC. The TV is essentially a second screen.

Only drawback, if I have sound going via the TV which, for example, may be showing Netflix. Whenever I want to play content on my PC (games) the sound is piped through the TV so you get two sounds sets via one source. I am trying to find a way to split the sound out to two sources, so for example, Netflix sound is output via the TV and gaming sound is via PC, essentially two independent sound outputs instead of one as both TV and PC sounds are mixed at the moment.

@smogsy you legend, you are 100% right, all my sound files (gaming, media etc) was all playing through either the TV or PC. The fix you shared solved this, now plays Netflix via TV and gaming via PC etc - works a treat.

Thank you for this, it was doing my head in! Happy New Year. :)
