SoundBlaster lost 5.1 after maybe an update? ( z906 Spkrs )

T oavoid waffling on, here is the facts:-

PC Running Win10 64Bit
Worked perfect for months
Using both 5.1 Analog and an Optical cable into a Creative z906 Speaker setup
Did an update a few days ago and since then the sound has been unable to do 5.1
Today Digital stopped.
Tried reinstalling and even using Onboard ( Also creative ) bu tthat was even worse.
Back on the card and I got Stereo ONLY through Analog but 5.1 and Digital dont work.
I have done full uninstalls and reinstalls for the ZxR and the OnBoard SB-XFI

Has an update caused this or is it me?

The option to select how many speakers in the Windows' own options, is no longer available?

I do obviously select it in the SB Console, and with the Digital input, the sperakers are kind of giving me a processed surround sound, but not a true 5.1 Audio, although the center and bass do seem to work, just the rear left and right are coming out of the main left and righht and not the rear. Or just stereo if I select that

With the Analog output, I only get LEFT and RIGHT in the Tests.

I have used Creative cards for years, and I love them. I have a few ASUS cards too, but I have usually been able to sort out Creative cards quite easily, but this, I am finding it difficult to cure!
