I just got the above card but have problem the card is not being reconised in the device manager and when I go to install drivers it comes up with a message saying unable to detect hardware.
Has anyone else had this problem I'm running windows 8.1.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with the card
Lets hope its not a common issue with this/these cards.....i was going to buy one today.......think I'll wait

Did you disable the onboard sound audio in the BIOS? I've got the same card and Win8.1 and it's running fine on my system.

Do you got the latest bios for your mobo?

Try the SB Z in a different pc.

I got the sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and the SB Z works fine.

Yeah I've disabled onboard sound also got the latest bios for my motherboard to,it's an oem card that I bought on eBay,it has no led's so I can't tell if it's powering on.
I've bought a new SBZ today so I'm gona try that and see if I get the same problem.

Also to add I've got an old audigy 2zs and it picks it up straight away so I'm thinking I've been sold a duff card, but il see what happens when I try the retail one I bought.

well like i said earlier i bought a retail soundblaster z and plugged it in and the leds light up but when trying to load drivers i get exactly the same thing(setup is unable to detect hardware) so there must be a problem somewhere else and i cant figure it out.

well it turns out that the first card i used is a dud,the retail card i bought today is fine i had to go into windows update to get it to reconise it so thats fine and drivers installed ok.
the first card i used is caput so will return where it came from on ebay, the new card though is amazing compared to my old audigy 2 zs well worth the investment even though im out off pocket at the moment.

Yeah, they are pretty amazing value cards, great sound quality and a very decent headphone amp - the only real reason I changed up to the Xonar STX was that it was running out of steam trying to drive my Beyer DT990 headphones. Anyway, glad you got it working in the end and that you're happy with the result. :)

got mine...and the driver/oftware disc doesnt even run lol

What I had to do was go to windows update (I'm on 8.1)as it didn't reconise the card until I did this then the drivers installed, it was a bit of a pain as I expected the software to load straight away but got there in the end.
