Just got caught doing 44 in a 30 zone.

Received 3 points and £60 fine.

Do i need to notify the insurance company and will i have to pay more on top of my premium? (19 yrs old, 1 year ncb, license held for 2 years)

Done a quote and it added £400 to an equivalent quote without the fine

Added 19" wheels to the car (audi a4) today so thats probably knocked the speedo out, didn't think to mention it to the coppers but probably wouldn't have made a difference. Also will adding those wheels increase my premium by much? (insured through bell)

Surely if you can afford an Audi A4 with brand new 19" wheels, an extra £400 a year insurance is nothing? :p

Read your policy documents. I don't think Bell require you to notify them of any speeding convictions until you renew your policy. Read your policy guidebook becuase their policy is explained in there.

19's on an A4. Oh dear, I bet that looks quite awful. Replica A8's or something? :/

Will do, thanks.

Rs4's and i think they look quite good, matter of opinion of course, but its my car and while 19" might be too big in peoples opinion, its not quite chrome spinners so you can all calm down :)

As long as you've got the Quattro bodykit and it isn't a pre 01 model they'll look ok but there is nothing more daft than a bare SE or Sport with huge wheels.s

Maybe not chrome spinners but almost as bad. RS4 wheels, whether genuine ones, Audi's own versions with different offsets or replicas by other manufacturers are all become so damn common that they're just not cool any more.

I cant see the wheels giving you a speedo reading with a difference of 14mph.......

do you go furthur on the same petrol if the diameter of the wheel is bigger?

tempted to drop some 21'z on my punto ;)
