Space Game?

Can anyone recommend me a space flying game?

I have played Homeworld and Freelancer and Spaceforce... was wondering if there were any other good ones I've missed?

Maybe try EVE if you're in to MMO's! It has an excellent community and many members from OcUK play it.

Elite games
Bridge Commander, and legacy with the UU mod.
Homeworld cataclysm, Homeworld 2 (you only said hw1 so didnt know if u played the others in the series)

x-wing alliance is a decent game to tho it starts a bit slow but really picks up

oh and starlancer is a decent one to

Freespace2 - single greatest Space fighter game ever.

Also, as mentioned Tachyon the Fringe is good. And so is StarLancer.

Wont get better than Freelancer

Loved that game.. just annoyed that it ended so quickly. I'll be keeping an eye on this game, love space sims/adventure games

Freespace 2 is amazing. Make sure you get the texture and effect updates from http://scp.indiegames.us/news.php if you do get the game.

Which was the microsoft space fighter based game, where it was the Russians (in cloaking ships) against the Allies :rolleyes:

France/UK/America/Germany etc. etc.?

I never played the first Freespace game, the sequel was astounding though. Nexus is a rough diamond to be sure!

All the great 'space' games are getting on a bit now, but if the OP is serious about his space games then he should get Elite II-Frontier up and running. It'll be an acquired taste these days, but it's definitely a game that needs to have its box ticked.

Homeworld 2 may be a bit of a let down, but X3-Reunion should keep you busy for a while.

spaceforce is out soon(unless you want a us version), the demo was a little rubbish, but that's because you had to follow the story line, the full game you don't. I'm going to give it a try.
