Anyone had a blast on the closed beta that's currently running? I had a couple of hours on it yesterday, and I quite like it. It kind of feels like Quake in zero-g, but unfortunately seems based around 4 players (2v2 or free for all) so it definitely needs an increase in the player cap,

Keys have been getting thrown about on r/oculus as well as the Space Junkies Discord: https://discord.gg/e3SpPz

There's a private match making option, so if a few of us grab it, we could give it a blast. It's on Oculus Home and Steam, but all the matchmaking appears to be done via your Ubisoft account.

Aside from being a little bit unbalanced, it's a solid polished game. Running the tutorial doesn't explain an awful lot, only movement and a few of the weapon handlings. You'll get rinsed without knowing how to build your player up, how to read the HUD, and wield multiple weapons. They dropped the bomb on the price, but it's a palatable £12.50 till the 10th of May. I expect them to make that a semi permanent price if player counts persist under 100.

I think they're increasing the team count to 3v3, but I am not sure how that helps. From the maps I've played they wouldn't support a more appealing 8 or 10 a side, and 2 or 3 you'll always get trounced by elite duelling players on pubs on a team with no plan. The game lacks any all run that way of a Counterstrike/Pavlov and turns in to a soloist death match because of the respawning system.

It'll be interesting to see where UBI decide to take it, they say they'll support it with a roadmap. I wish they'd make some kind of effort behind Bridge Crew being from the same development house, they have a player base that's crying out for expansion and content.
