Hi guys.

Would post in the Space thread but don't want to clutter it up.

I am looking for presents for my nephews birthday. He currently has a telescope so that's out of the question. I am thinking something like a big space encyclopedia book full of pictures which would be on his wave length? Or could you guys recommend anything else?

Thanks.

I can recommend turn left at Orion if he's after a good guide book for his telescope. It show's pictures of how deep sky objects will look to the naked eye and how to find them!

a plot of land on the moon (there's the sun too but that's currently under ownership dispute)... pretty sure they're ok :)

oh... it looks like they're now selling plots on mars and venus too.

How many space loving 9 year olds can say they own a piece of the moon/mars/venus/sun :)

Jongo's suggestion is good, also how about a model of the shuttle or the old rockets? There is also a solar system model kit you can get, it snaps togther and form a mobile.

Ownership of the Moon is not recognised, so that would be a complete waste of money. If you want it for novelty factor then you might as well print your own certificate.
