Genuinely can't be any worse than the sequel trilogy. Maybe they can get Fasbender or Rapace to do a cameo in a diner.
Mel is 98 and this movie is 2 years off. He'll be 99 or thereabouts when it's in production. Hope he can see it through.
Though the missing cog in the works is no John Candy, really hope they don't recast the role, just wouldn't work.

I'm deffo watching Spaceballs on Sunday night! I wonder who else will reprise their role. It'll be hilarious to see Michael Winslow back. Daphne Zuninga (sp?) who was the princess hasn't done much for a few years so I live in hope she will return.

That would be horrendously bad. Blazing Saddles was rampant with all sorts of language that would cause most the kiddy winks on the twittersphere to have an aneurysm
I know right!
A girlfriend was 'sensitive' , and young enough.
I remember her watching in horror but also laughing her head off at those scenes.
