I think the thing with sci fi it there are a certain type of people it'll pull or almost can't resist not watching it.

Like your almost guaranteed a certain percentage of however many subscribers you have will see it, you work out how much revenue that makes you and budget accordingly and you can't loose.

I feel like I used to be one of those, but after watching so many truly dire netflix sci fi movies I have finally learned.

Stowaway was it, awful.

How about the one with the squid thing under the ice, Europa something?

There have been plenty of others as well, absolute abominations.
 
Impossible to know how it will be at this point, so have to wait for reviews or skip that and just watch it.

Then we can all start to wonder why we bothered with this to begin with (or not).
 
Had very low expectations, and Sandler does struggle a bit with a more serious role, but it was a decent watch and an interesting plot.
