Spam and BY email?

Yes, everyday. Its quite normal, but not noticeable with a decent spam filter.
 
I used to get a shed load of spam through blueyonder, although I'm sure most of it was my own doing due to the liberal usage of my address when signing up for dodgy sites:p

Get yourself a decent spam filter and you should be alright. These days I use gmail for almost everything, I get very little spam that isn't already directed to the spam folder. I use a hotmail address for things I feel may lead to spammage.
 
It's only started over the past few days. Office 2003's spam filters o' doom picks out most of it however.

It's hard to be specific, it's an actual image of text on a colour background that is selling me something. It isn't viagra, larger loveswords, jugs or porn.... so I'm confused!

Been meaning to change e-mail address for some time, but have been put off because i'm a lazy git.
 
As soon as you create an email account it's a ticking timebomb before you get flooded..

I mean, it only takes one wrong website and your details are passed around from company to company. I'd say I get between 10-15 spam emails a day on gmail, and nearly all of these go in the spam folder... maybe 1 every 3 weeks will slip through.

Ah, I've been getting a lot of them to one of the work addresses actually. I imagine because it's an image it bypasses some traditional methods of catching spam. Been getting 'em regularly for the last month or so. Perhaps try out a few other filters and see how it goes.

I'm not cool enough to have a G-mail account. I have to make do with an @yahoo.co.uk address... which I use for a lot of my... er... 'odd' site registrations. Keeps it away from the wife, you see :p

I've just tried tightening up some of the rules re: spam messages, I'll see what happens.

It has gone from literately 20+ a day to about 4 or 5 a week. Still annoying. My AV doesn't pick them up as being virus/worm infested, so I guess I'm ok...
