Spartacus Vengence

I was taking the mick, I watched it around 10am saturday morning.

Ah... my bad. I'm bad enough at recognising sarcasm IRL let alone on a forum :)

I too thought gannicus was going to die so I'm really glad he didn't. I'll miss Ashur though, and I'll miss spartacus' ho too (can't remember her name).

I think the twist with lucretia was good. She was so much of a serpent in the previous seasons and in this one she just let ashur walk all over her so it was obvious she wasn't herself since her husband copped it. Didn't see her cliff-jump coming though I have to admit.

Gannicus is the only character I really care about tbh, now that ashur and onimaeus are dead. Agron's pretty cool too.

Yes obviously spoiler tags should be used anyway. But why would you come into a thread for a tv show when you haven't seen the latest episode? Do you expect people to be talking about last weeks episode still? It's common sense really. Yes people SHOULD use spoiler tags but this is the internet.

I HAVE seen the latest UK aired episode though.

Considering the rules state NOT to talk about episodes that have not aired in the UK yet, I expect to come in here and NOT see talk of the currently unaired episode... Really not sure how this is hard to get, It's common sense really

Going back to your question about why I come in here? - I come in for news on the show and its cast including, but not exclusively, news about the next series e.g. when it is due or trailers, info about the cast e.g. like what happened to Andy etc etc.... Silly me.

I am over the initial "spoiler" post but I find it weird that it seems the whole "don't openly discuss unaired UK episodes" argument is trying to be turned round as if people with my point of view are in the wrong or are idiots

The thing is it is a fact of life that some of us are going to watch the very latest episodes and want to talk about them.
At one time I saw everybody in a thread get suspended but it still goes on and hard to police.
Either we get an American Series discussion forum or we put stuff in spoilers.
'At the end of the day' nobody is going to knock on the OCUK door and tell us off for talking about such things so there are no worries.
Talking about where you can get such stuff is naughty.

^ Then I shall leave it alone. Part of the joy of Spartacus (for me, at least) is the complete unpredictability of it (outside of the obvious ending).

Yeh, can't wait for the " I am Spartacus!..., no, I am Spartykus!!, NOOO, I am Spittycus!!!" scene! :D

Try living in the now. You can't expect everyone else to zip it because you can't keep up

Yes you can

NO discussion of movies or tv shows that haven't been released in the UK, if it hasn't been shown in a UK cinema or on a UK tv station, no discussion is allowed.

If you can't stick to a simple forum rule then don't post at all, simples. (guessing you're serious from the lack of smiley face to suggest sarcasm)

It's a shame the Mods for this Section don't seem to be as thorough as those in the rest of GD with rule breakers (of which I'm sure I'm guilty of as well TBH) as this particular rule has taken a bit of a hammering recently. I still reckon a separate US TV sub-forum is the best of both worlds.

Epic. Totally epic. Some of the best TV in years.

They should be able to get at least 2 more seasons out of the historical material. Hopefully next season will be a bit longer though - perhaps 12 episodes, allowing greater detail etc.

Really think Liam has claimed the Spartacus role now. The intensity of his final fight/scene (and, indeed, pretty much the whole of episode 10) with Glaber was simply awesome and had my mouth hanging open.

10/10.

Absolutely jaw-dropping television. I wasn't convinced by the new Spartacus at first but he quickly removed all doubts and became as brother!!!
Some people here seem to know the true story and all so I was wondering if anyone knew of a good book that I could read - all I've seen of the Spartacus history in the past is the Kirk Douglas film which apparently the watching of makes me a gay.
Anyway, book (ebook preferably) recommendation would claim much gratitude.

I really must stop talking like that :p

He didn't claim it until the last episode, but seeing the interaction between him and the other main characters was awesome.

I wasn't sure about him to start with, and I still don't think he's a patch on Andy, but he'll do.

You seem to be labouring under the false assumption that I care what a n00b thinks. When you have more than 10 years on this forum then come back to me. Until then STFU.

stopped watching this, i just cant get into it.
i thought the lead guy in season 1 started a bit weak but grow stronger and stronger and by the end of season 1 he was amazing, it was going to be a hard act to follow for anyone, but this new guy just doesnt seem right for the role, his voice and build just come across as very wrong for the role.

I kinda think the same. The new guy is very wooden. I stopped watching it.

I'm with Dimple and the couple of others who were irritated about people talking about the final episode before it had been on TV. I know that "loads of people died" isn't exactly a major spoiler in a programme that has deaths every week, but when I saw it on here, I told my boyfriend not to look on here, because it would have spoilt it for him like it did do a little for me.

It's not the fact that people aren't keeping up, it's the fact that it hadn't actually aired on TV in the UK yet. I like watching things on TV as opposed to comp, and don't mind waiting a couple of days to do so. People who have been watching a few days beforehand are doing it over the internet from the US before it had aired on TV here, so they shouldn't have been talking about it without spoiler tags IMO. I was surprised no mods picked it up.

Last night's ep was amazing by the way :)

When? Because if you stopped before episode 5 of Vengeance you missed one of the best Spartacus episodes ever.

And you missed episodes 9-10 where Liam really began to master the Spartacus role.
