Sitting drinking a Gin & Tonic, with lime, and every time I have a mouthful it's making the bottom insides of my cheeks react very oddly. The best way I can describe it is a short sharp spasm. I'm sure I've had this before but never bothered trying to find out why.

Is it the alcohol, the acidity of the lime, both, neither? I'm curious.

Have you tried sitting down, to see if it stops your "cheeks" spasming? :p

Whenever I drink cider, this ALWAYS happens in my cheeks on both sides and I know what it is your describing. It feels like the cross between a spasm and pins and needles in your cheeks. It's weird. And consequently I don't drink cider anymore.
