Speaker problem.

I just received an RMA replacement for my microlab solo 6c speakers.

And after plugging them in and setting them up.

The non powered side has sound coming out of it but the powered side doesn't.


I run Laptop to Fiio e7 + e9 via USB.

Then from the e9's line out, I run an RCA cable to the speakers which take an RCA input.

I then run the speaker cable from the powered speaker to the non powered speaker. Bronze cable in red terminal silver cable in black terminal. So everything is matching up. Yet the rigth speaker is producing no sound at all.

Anyone recommend anything?

An RCA cable. It has two jacks on each end, R and L.

Can you try the speakers with something else, to make sure it is not a problem with the FiiO's?

yes I've used the stock cable, and another friends laptop plugged into the fiio. still the same ****.

If you've connected your friends laptop to the FiiO, you are still using the FiiO though.

If you have connected the speakers directly to the laptops audio out, or maybe an MP3 player and it's still the same, then it has to be the speakers.

Pretty rotten luck to get another faulty pair. Hopefully it's just bad luck, and not a sign of poor QC from Microlab.

I've taken pics and done a short vid. And shown it to the guys in customer service and they agree so it's being collected again.

Yes I've used my MP3 and used my laptop without the FiiO and it won't work .
