Speakers - Bass Problem

Hello to everyone one of you out there, I have a big problem which I have tried to fix for the past 3 hours, let me tell the story of what happened.

At around midnight, I was heading to bed and I was slowly switching off my PC, every night I switch off my speakers as they make a little irritating sound which annoys me, so I switch the speakers off via pressing this button on the box which creates the bass and head to bed.

I wake up today and switch on my PC and also the speakers, I put on some YouTube music and realise that the bass is not working, I play with switching off the speakers and stuff, unpluggin and plugging, then it works, after 5 minutes it goes off again, and now it just won't go on.

I have no idea what happened, I'm sure it's not faulty as it worked fine all the time until today, the bass just won't work, someone please help!

And guys, my speakers work as normal but the bass is just totally silent and it is not being created...

It's connected by all the plugs going from the subwoofer box and then going out to the seperated speakers around my table, It's 5.1 and everything worked fine with the subwoofer until today when I switched it on, it just refuses to work

we need more details about the speakers, what brand and what model?

The brand and model I really don't know, I had this for around 5 years and everything was cool, it's been a beauty for all these years and I cannot imagine it just braking after I switched it off last night when it was perfectly normal...

Yeah I understand it's old but it was working really fine, no problems with quality or anything from the subwoofer, I just put it off and now it's probably burying itself :(
