Was wondering if this is even available.

I want something portable like an iPod Dock style speaker but need it to be able to work with Spotify. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and was wondering if there is anyway you can stream Spotify from that to some AirPlay speakers?

Budget, well I can spend upwards of £200 if I wanted too but don't particularly want to. Also the speakers having a line in option as well. They would need to be active as I don't have a separate amp and these will be taken to university with me. Cheers.

Mmmm, thanks to both of you.

daz.wallace - Bit too expensive really and yeah they would be portable enough too. I could splash out on them but thought I don't really want to spend that much.

ZeroHour - Yeah I ended up looking at bluetooth speakers and stumbled across Philips Fidelio which are made for Android and have an Android dock which is just a charger and alarm clock because you can't pass audio through USB on Android (yet! :)).

Turns out Philips had a 25% off anything on their web store so I ordered a Fidelio As111

The way I saw it, BlueTooth would be a limiting factor in terms of audio quality and Spotify works with bluetooth off of my phone so there's no point buying awesome speakers if I'm mostly going to be using bluetooth audio through it. Also be nice to have an alarm clock radio and a dock charger for my SGSII.

Apple tv can be used with spotify. Its not the best solution, but I have apple tv connected to my tv and some nice speakers attached to the tv. I picked up apple tv for £60 in the states, so was a relatively cheap way to achieve wireless music from my ipad/iphone spotify app.

I suspect it would be better going through an amp with the optical out from the apple tv into the amp.
