Speakers not working???

Hi

I have a set of cheapy creative speakers.

One of the satalite speakers buzzed very loudly for a few seconds. Switched the power button "off" using the power button on the other satalite speaker.

Now I have turned it back on, and nothing. No LED light, nought?

The speakers consist of 2 satalites and a sub unit?

What could be the problem?

Sounds like the amp is gone. Especially seeing how there is no reaction at all.

Unplug it, open it up and look for any charring?

If it's still under warranty opening it may void that.

Doesnt sound like the speakers anyway, not if it was only one. (and even if it was the light should still go on).

However, not thinking properly, check the fuse aswell, could simply be the fuse has blown. Remember though, fuse's don't tend to go for no reason.

well out of warranty, plus bought from ebay (new) for 15.00 so not worth rma if was in wty

the power plug is a transformer plug, not a normal fused plug, caanot check fuse

Ah right, there should still be a fuse somewhere in the speaker system then. But again, there is usually a reason for fuses blowing!
