Every time my fridge/freezer turns off my speakers pop, it's annoying. Is it damaging them or my computer when this happens?
These speakers are old from ebay but I had a pair exactly the same last year with no popping issues. I had to use a different power cord into them as they arrived with a broken one (the one i am using is from my old samsung monitor and is 3amp 250v).
My recent USB powered speakers did not pop but they are USB powered.
I am guessing that the problem is the fridge/freezer which is in a seperate room.
Should I buy an uninterruptible power supply? Buying a new fridge/freezer is not really an option as it still works fine and I rent so I would have to inform the landlord and I don't think he will replace it. But if it comes down to buying one of these should I be getting one that at least matches the wattage of my equipment as they don't seem to be very high wattages on these UPS's.
