The centre and sub makes the biggest difference when going up from stereo.

I half agree on the sub, depends how low your mains go....I can actually completely get by without my sub with my m35is but most speakers dont go anywhere near low enough.

I have the Tannoy HTS101 set up in 5.1 with a denon 3803 amp.

Sounds AMAZING! They get pretty much 5* reviews where ever you look.


If I were you I would go into Richer sounds and get a demo of them and compare to the monitor audio.

Don't think they'll go back up as the newer models are out at £800, so i guess they massively reduced the Vector AV's to get rid.

Update, finally!

Kef Cresta 3's floor standing and a Cresta C for £50. From a bit reading about they were v.good budget speakers.

Good deal? To be fair, three decent speakers for £50 can't really grumble.

Yeah, pinched some Samsung speakers to get 5.0 till somepoint I find suitable rears.
