Spec £350 on CPU,Board,Ram & GFX Please

Hi,

Ok so the student loan comes tomorrow, now what to buy.

i have antec p182, corsair 520w psu, samsung 500gb hd,pioneer dvdrw, benq 24" monitor.

I have about 350 for the rest, would liek to go core 2 duo and overclock.
pc will be used for gaming.

What OS will you be using, and do you need an after-market CPU cooler?

was looking to get a low end core 2 duo and overclock, thinking of 4gb ram and 8800gt but not sure what eactly to get, on a mad review reading mission now was hoping for some input...

oh dear you really have threw a spanner in the works suggesting a wolfdale cpu.

had my mind set on a 2180 and clock it to 3ghz, but i surpose i could stretch to a wolfdale, hmmm. want 4gb of ram really, so back to the reviews on wolfdales v conroe in games.

Decided on the below.
Wasn't sure which 8800gt, but saw the leadtek had 80MHz overclocked core for a decent price.

Hope to overclock the CPU to 3GHz or more. Will that RAM be able to overclock the CPU well? totally new to overclocking but i hear its a sin not to clock core 2 duo's

its the same ram i have and i have my e2180 running at 3.2ghz so you should be okay.

yeah, 3ghz should be easy - i'd be aiming for 3.4 or so... nice choices - you ought to be fine
