Hail, built my current PC in 2012. Showing its age now. All I use it for is FB, Amazon, Youtube.

I want to spec a new build that will speed through these types of simple tasks. Probably i5 or i7 and thinking of a M.2 type SSD.

Will on board graphics be enough? Confused by cores and threads. Don't want to spend a lot, Windows 10 Pro perhaps, how much memory is enough and how fast need it be?

Sorry this seems a lame request. TIA for any tips.

Yes, onboard should be fine.
Cores are physical, threads are virtual cores.
16 Gig at 3000 Mhz.
Windows 10 Home 64 bit should be fine, you may be able to upgrade via your old operating system key to save even more money.
I5 10400 or 10100 I3 recommended.
NVME M2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus, or Wd Blue 1 terabyte for £94.99.
