As in the title.

Budget about £1.2k

I do want a Gigabyte G1 970 and 4790k i7.

Won't need a new monitor yet, but could you include one anyway (not included in the budget as I'd get in the near future after the build, so £1.2k for components).

Will need OS, but thinking Win8.1 just for the sake of things.

Don't need KB, Mouse, Mousemat or Headset - purely need a new rig. Also, could you throw in a wireless card too, a relatively decent one (if it makes a real difference).

Final note: was going to use Corsair Vengeance Pro Red (2x 4GB) 2133MHz RAM as I might be buying a further 8GB from my mate should he upgrade his RAM.

Cheers in advance!

Cheers stu, any recommendations on using a H100 or H105 for CPU water cooling instead of a fan/heatsink? or would you consider that cooler in the same bracket as far as performance goes?

Also, what tools would I need as this'd be my first build I'd like to ensure I've not left myself short from cleaning wipes to screwdrivers! :)

I have personally used that Noctua,

• Stupidly quiet (it's what Noctua do well).
• Kept an overclock i7 [email protected] easily.

I have a H100i at the moment and that can be heard even on the lowest fan speed. Plus I don't think the case takes a H105,

Tools, a few screwdrivers and that is about it, many many videos you can watch on Youtube on how to assemble a PC and see what they use or needed.

One thing you may want to add is a DVD drive to install the OS from the disk, but I prefer to copy the disks files to a USB stick and boot from that.

I won't lie I'd like a disc drive, but I can easily add one myself having seen yourself and others spec the one at around £14 :)

Would getting an anti-static mat and/or wristband be a small godsend too?
