Spec build for a friend please

My mate was going to get a steam machine so he could game in his living room , i talked him out of it though , so he would like a tower building at roughly the same size as a steam machine , his budget is £400, will only be used for gaming , doesn't need an os or any peripherals that's just for the tower

£400 steam machines?! Where?? Lowest I see is the Alienware for £450 which is really low spec... Which by the way is NOT worth getting by any means...

No no preference on cases , it was the £450 Alienware he had seen but he will also need a controller

I can almost guaranty he'd be replacing it within a year or two at that price...
