I got the 500GB Western Digital network hard drive from last weeks "TWO" along with another 320GB USB external HD I have so space isnt a problem which is why I picked the 36GB raptor to be made into Raid-0 some time soon.

I wont order till the Intel price drop has happend but what do you think for a high end overclocking pc? Just checking it all fits and works together basicly, any improvements will be welcome!

Cheers

I wouldnt buy the 30gb odd raptor hard drive. Beacuse if you later on use vista you wont have a lot of room left.

i have the 74 version and only have 20 left.. Thats vista ultimate and 4 games

Worth getting the 74

Jay!

or hes trying to get rid of some stock before the prices go down? Its well known there is to be a price drop on the C2D in April.

Asus Striker Extreme not worth the price! Do you plan on using sli eventually? if so go for the Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650 only £82.24 inc vat & will do just as good job.

2nded. The 74 is the best IMO. Quieter than the 150 and the 36, and faster than the 36 on speed as well. I have mine suspended in my case, and it's very quiet. :)
I beg to differ! My 150gb Raptor slightly faster & is much quieter than my 74gb hard drive I still have. Thing is though in gaming you will probally see 1-4 seconds roughly difference in game loading times etc.

Go with the Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA804)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-090-CR

It's only £117.49 inc VAT & uses the same Micron IC's as the Team ram you specified.

You will save in total £258.50 & still have the same performance, by changing motherboard & ram lol! :)

As well as dumping the 36gb Raptor off the list, sell the other one you have on a famous auction site & buy a 150gb raptor or Seagate 7200.10 500gb hard-drive which is more or less similar performance yet over 3 times the storage capacity.
