Will be buying the following after Xmas, Just checking if i should change anything :)

Case: NZXT Phantom 820

Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K

Power Supply: Corsair Professional Series AX 760iW

Cooling: Corsair H100i

Fans: Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition Low Noise High Airflow - Dual Pack

Motherboard: MSI Z77 MPower

Memory: Corsair Dominator PLATINUM 8GB 1866MHz

Graphics Card: MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr

Monitor: Asus PB278Q

OS: Windows 7 OEM 64Bit

Spec looking OK, ram slightly on the expensive side, 1600mhz offers a good price vs performance as anything over 1600mhz offers little gain.

I wouldn't go for Windows 8 if you want to get annoyed with your PC...
Do you know you could get 3 monitors for the price of that one 27" monitor???

Nope already got one Attu :)

Seeing the differences in the 670 and 680 performance is like 8fps, so i may get a 670 and save my money then :p

Do you think the 670 can handle some AA at 1440p on the latest games?

Yep, But i would prefer to play a high resolution on 1 screen rather than 3 crappy 1080p Monitors

Thumbs up on this

I can see the appeal for 3 monitors but really the majority that i have seen set up in person have been horrible and did not have any quality about them what so ever over 150pound 1080p monitors. It looked quite tacky (im sure if correctly set up on decent monitors then it could be nicer but for now il stay away)

About a month ago i saw the pb278Q and OH my lord. Absolute pristine colors absolutely bare minimum jaggies a lot more real estate on desktop and mmos ie EvE it made a huge advantage.

Yeah you can get that on 3 monitors but it just well looks a bit tacky i wish there was a better solution for it by now.

Honestly though your going to be blown away by the pb278q its brilliant. Getting my own for xmas ^^ The build looks fantastic btw my only say would be like the other guys, drop down the ram a little bit, if you still want to spend that little extra then look for tighter timings not speed. After 1600mhz you only really see a difference in synthetic benchmarks

:D

Hmmm kind of stuck on the GPU again, I keep changing my mind which one to get.

For 1440P

670 Powered Edition 2GB
Or
7970 Ghz Edition 3GB

I would be using High/2xAA or even 0xAA since I'm running a higher Resolution.

I never had AMD before, I kind to stick to Nvidia because of Physx

Will 2GB be enough for 2xAA High settings?

Thanks
