i'm most likely going to get this type of build as my first one as a mid range gaming computer that will be used for gaming sometimes. I have no plans to overclock with the clock speed that will be on the i5 2500k. I am excited about the haf x and the h50 watercooling. haf x looks like a beast i was also think about the cm 690ii which one??? would i need to buy a thermal compound or will the stock on the h50 be ok.

The HAF-X is a pricey case, the cm 690ii is slightly cheaper but it's down to personal choice, I personally prefer the looks of 690ii.

The stock compound will be fine.

I would suggest Going for the MSI GD65 board claiming back the VAT and then uprgading the GPU to a 6950 (flash to 6970) And youve got yourself far superior perfomance.
