Is there anything im missing(cables etc?) have keyboard/mouse already.
Will be mainly used for gaming on a 24 monitor @ 1920x1200.Will this spec play c&c3/stalker/supreme commander etc. at this res ok?
Reason for e6600 is i hear there will be price drops on the 22nd or later,but i need this system before that as i am on my holiday break soon,and will upgrade to vista/cpu when dx10(crysis) is finally here.
Will probably be run @ stock speeds(never overclocked before :o )

How about a after-market cooler? Tuniq Tower 120 maybe?

Even if you don't overclock now... you can have a go later on...

Added that cooler :) ,should i probably get some Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound ?,or does the cpu/fan come with it?

Well the Tuniq Tower does come with some which is gonna do the same/similar job but you can grab some I guess ;)
 
Very similar to my own proposed spec mthor, though I'm saving a few quid by getting the vanilla Xtreme Gamer rather than the Fatal1ty. Don't see the benefit myself, but that's just my opinion :)

Speaking of which, you mentioned you already have a kb, monitor and mouse. What about speakers and/or headset? Would be a waste on the sound card if not!

speaker wise...i currently have 2 set ups"yamaha amp and kef eggs "and M&K speakers and arcam amp"....I'll probably use the rig with the kef eggs for the time being,being a 2 speaker set up for the moment.Didnt want to use the onboard sound as i heard its not that great,plus i didnt want any extra load on the cpu,do you think the vanilla would do just as good a job?Is this it http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-049-CL&groupid=701&catid=11&subcat=

As for keyboard/mouse.... i have an old dinivo keyboard and mouse set that i have not used in a few years ..going to dust that off and see how it works..although i seem to recall the mouse having sinc problems with the hub when recharging,might have to get a new mouse too :D.Would anybody know if its possible for the dinova keyboard to somehow work without the hub :confused:
