It's been a while since I've put a system together so would like to draw upon your collective wisdom to sanity check this build...

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.4ghz OEM
Cooler from E6600
OcUK Value IP35 Pro-Intel P35
OcUK Value GeForce 8600 GT 512mb
Hitachi Deskstar 320gb sata-II
OCZ 2GB (2x1gb) PC2-6400

Any thoughts on this low-cost re-build?

8600 GT is a naff card - put a 3850 Pro, or a x1950 Pro if you're on a budget. You won't be able clock that quad far without an aftermarket cooler. Splash out on a TT.

Otherwise good.
