Just wanted to know if theres any pitfalls with the following specification, it's going to be a photoshop workhorse, will also be using Canon's DPP a lot to work with 21 megapixel RAW files.

2* Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB SATA II 7200RPM 16MB Cache
1* Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 iP35
1* Corsair 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5(5-5-5-12)
1* Asus 7100GS 128MB
1* Antec Sonata III Piano Black Quiet Mid Tower Case - With 500W EarthWatts PSU
1* Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping (2.4GHz 1066MHz)

Fine for what you need, even working with multi-spectral images, stuff like that takes processor power more than anything, definately not graphics, so the Quad is perfect. Case is a bargain and although it's not the coolest case (in every respect) it works, it's quiet and the PSU that comes with it is excellent (my combined case and PSU comes to £140,more than double price). Everything else is sufficient i'd say.

I'm going to make a thread about this tomorrow at work when i got nothing to do as usual, but i got a feeling that 2x2gb is slower and less stable than 4x1gb. slower latency, probably runs hotter and each stick won't be able to be OCed as much in theory as 4 fast C4 sticks.

Will look into that i think tomorrow.
