Hi would I need anything else I have optical drives, os
what about cooling not planning on oc'ing just yet so would case fans be ok for now

Hi, if you want to you can use
so we can see the pic without having to link to it, and re your spec, for that money Id be looking at i7, you can put yourself a nice i7 build together for same sorta price
 
Looks good, can't think of anything you've missed.

However, if you are going to overclock you may want to purchase an after-market CPU cooler, and some thermal paste if it is not supplied.
If you aren't planning on overclocking this is definetely not necessary.

btw, Nice build
 
I wouldn't bother with an X48 mobo, go instead for a nice P45 board, and x8 x8 crossfire is fast enough (I'm assuming that you're planning on running crossfire some time in the future)

And chuck in a nice after market cooler as well. Your chip will run cooler so you can get a better overclock. Something like the sunbeam core contact is pretty good value.

Indeed,
An i7 processor costs the same,
You will need a mobo with a LGA1366 socket
And finally some DDR3 ram,
and a big CPU cooler for the mandatory overclocking :D
