Spec Check Please?

I've built mine now, and running stable OC'ed - need more testing though, but OMG went back to my old rig, and laughed at how slow it was (although the comparison is a little un-fair - by that I mean the OLD HDD, seems slowed than my NEWER HDD's) but no match to the SSD :D
 
I am currently using a 6 year old machine so I will be like ZOMG ZOMG once I am up and running on the new one :p

Final delivery due tomorrow (if all goes well) :D
 
As for cpu coolers as just my personal advice i would avoid the Artic 7 Cooler, i know a lot of people have recommended this in previous builds, but i am now on my 3rd as the fan just seems to pack up after a while. Perhaps cheapness isnt always the best answer with such things, and that Noctua looks a beast!
 
I honestly don't think the artic could cope with such a build in the first place.
I got an artic on my old PC - worked great for 2yrs, then became loose and the pins broke as I tried to get it out - so I've gone through 2 of them.

I built my first pc last night, took my time and enjoyed it, was really fun and interesting, exciting!!! :p

Question, my Design R4 case did not come with a speaker wire, is this normal and have other people also experienced this?

My PC POSTed but I was wondering why I did not hear any beeps so was a bit hesitant in deciding whether or not I had set everything up correct :p

Tonight, I will install Windows 8 Preview via USB Flash, install the graphics card, soundcard, sort out all of the wires and then shall post a picture :D

I checked the PSU, there was a molex connector which then had two 4 pins ready to connect somewhere, but I didn't know where.

I checked to see if this connect was fitted the SPEAKER connectors on the motherboard and this was not possible.

Therefore, my guess is that this cable goes into the Motherboard somewhere but not sure what's it is used for?

EDIT - The cable i'm talking about is for a floppy drive, found out :p


Still, my original question regarding the beep on a Gigabite UD3H? :(

My PSU actually came with a separate little speaker that I plugged into the front panel section of my MB (I'm not sure I made that clear). There are various speaker sections on my MB which I haven't used. I just plug what speakers I have into the back of my PC as normal.

That is correct.

I have plugged in the HD Audio cable.

I am guessing your PC does not beep during POST? Unless you have added your own seperate wires for the speaker?
