Spec Check Pls ordering Mon/Tue

Id go for 2 X 120GB SSD's

then a 1TB drive for all your other shizz,

250GB for OS, music and games is too small imo.

Does it matter that the ssd you listed is notebook/apple series? Also if i do go for the 7970 Lightning I think I need one of these OcUK Value 3m Male - Male Display Port Monitor Cable is that right to use my Dell 27" properly?

Makes no odds mate as the case you picked can mount a 2.5 inch drive. The notebook and desktop kits are the same drive but the desktop kits come with an adapter plate to mount the SSD in a case without a 2.5 inch bay. The notebook version has a sata to USB adapter bundled with it

If your Dell screen has HDMI and/or DVI just use those inputs if you have those cables to hand.

Yeah why i was asking was I am sure I read somewhere that the lighning dvi slots are not duel dvi.

Both DVI ports are single DVI according to their webpage. One is DVI-I (analogue compatible) the other DVI-D. What resolution is the screen?

I thought you didn't want that style of cooler on the GPU in that case though? I apologise I somehow missed you mentioning the lighting GPU

Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 27" at 2560x1440 is my monitor.

As for the GPU I am still a tad up in the air about it due to the fact I know the Lightning would out perform the EVGA 4gb 670 FTW but as ive said before just a tad worried about the heat not exhausting out the back.

I've never used the case bud and I doubt I ever will. I do recall Silverstone suggesting you use external exhaust GPUs with the case, they made the case I suggest you follow their advice ;)

Yeah probably right m8 I dont think there will be too much performance loss between the 670 and the Lightning.

Also came acorss this ram Patriot Viper "Black Mamba" Generation 3 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz

I used the corsair vengenance in an earlier spec as it was low profile and £5 cheaper than most the other 16GB kits on offer. You'll see me spec the Viper RAM quite a lot (the 8GB kit is £35 currently), is it worth the extra £5 for a slightly lower CAS rating.....I'll let you decide. In truth you won't really notice much difference.

Dont really like the look of the Vengance ram tbh.

You won't even see it lol

I've used the Cerulean blue coloured version on the Z77-D3H and Z77X-D3H mobos as it colour matches exactly with the gigabyte mobos heatsinks. It looked very nice to be honest but each to their own. It's your build fella you choose ;)

Just came across these what do you think guys might be decent with the red leds too hehe. GeIL Black Dragon 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
