Well,

Im ordering a second pc tonight and was wondering would anybody change anything below? I have chosen the e4300 as my other system has the e2160 and i want to see how far i can push both. This pc will be used primarily for 3ds max /photoshop /cad etc... but i want a good graphics card for future games.

These parts will compliment a p180,74gig raptor, and 20'' screen.
I want to push the cpu as far as i can on air. Also i have no interest in sli / crossfire.
Im not sure about the motherboard, is it the best sub £100 mobo i can get?

Noctua NH-U12F ) Heatsink £32.99
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz £49.99

That all looks good, I can't see any obvious improvements to be made other than perhaps considering either a Western Digital AAKS series drive or a Seagate 7200.10 series drive as they are both probably a little quicker than the Samsung. :)

I just got the e2160 last week for the other system. My intention is to get the e4300 also, overclock both as far as i can, see which one performs the best, and use that chip for my personal pc (the other one is for the family).
Will the overclocked e2160 outperform the overclocked e4300? If thats the case ill get another e2160... but i don't mind payin the extra 20quid for the e4300 is it is indeed better....

no the overcloked 4300 should be faster then the E2160 at the same speed due to more cache memory if the price difference doesn't matter go for the E4300 both should do 3ghz easy

At the same speed the e4300 should outperform the e2160 chip in some applications, and others it may not be relevant (like games) as the CPU won't be the limiting factor.

Cheers,

I placed the above order, changing the hdd to : Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB 3200AAKS SATA-II 16MB Cache .

As i said, i have a 2yr old 74gb raptor... Do you think i might be better off installing windows on the new 320 hdd, or keep it to the raptor?

Thanks
