Been told the PSU is sufficient, any comments on that? Any other glaring omissions or things people would change? (I'm already slightly over budget, so please keep any suggestions in the same price range. cooling also isn't an issue, I have a custom WC setup I will be using)

Realise the monitor wont be excellent quality, but for the price I can't really argue. Anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks in advance :)

The PSU is good. The RAM is overkill, look for C3 5300 or C4 6400, whichever is cheaper. I don't think much of that case. I think you'd be better off with an Akasa Eclipse 62 but, of course, cases are a matter of opinion. Get a SATA DVD drive instead of IDE since IDE is rapidly going out of style.

Well I will be overclocking, and the extra headroom on the ram would be nice, and it's at an extremely good price. Would rather run it at 1:1, so I'd have to overclock 6400 ram, meaning I would need better quality stuff, negating the savings somewhat.

That set looks good though, better off with it you think?

Pretty set on the case to be honest, love the looks and I can stick a 360mm rad in the front and it'll have access to air.

Hadn't even thought about SATA optical drives, shows how long it's been since I got a new PC. Could you give me a link to one you would reccomend so I can have a look? To be honest I'm not sure I burn enough DVDs to make it worthwhile, unless it's the same price. Although the thinner cables would be nice

The RAM is overkill like suggested although its so cheap it doesn't matter, you could get this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-058-GL, slightly cheaper yet still up to the job.

Also, matter of personal preference here, but that case is ugly! look at some of these for around the same price:

Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case - No PSU (Gun Metal Black)
£66.99
£78.71 inc VAT

Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case - No PSU
£79.99
£93.99 inc VAT

Lian Li PC-A16B Aluminium Full-Tower - Black
£79.99
£93.99 inc VAT

The Antec P182 is on special offer this week and an absolute bargain.

How's this?:

It should be faster in new games with ATi's hip new drivers. The case should be cooler and this one includes a beefy aftermarket CPU cooler.

EDIT: Whoops, I forgot about the watercooling setup. :o

I did look at the Lian Li PC-A16B and do like it, the advantage for me with the Armour is the rear HDD rack (only room for 1 drive at the front with a 360mm rad in there), side window, and side fan. Problem with the PC-A16B is no room for even an optical drive at the front with the rad in there, nevermind room for the HDD.

Billy: Will have a look at the mobo, have switched the ram for that one, thanks :) No need for a CPU cooler however, and the mouse and case are fugly :p but that's just personal preference.
Benchmarks/reviews have put me off the 2900, will have a look at some more reviews though. I'm also getting a deal on a second hand 8800GTS full waterblock, which makes a difference to price

I'd still consider the ATi card. A lot of the reviews were made when the cards were first released. At that time the driver situation was rather dire. Things are much improved now with the 2900 occasionally beating the GTX.

Hmm, that's a thinker then. Price difference would be around £40 though, the cheaper waterblock is making quite a difference there. The frankly insane number of stream processors makes me think there is still a lot to come from the 2900 with driver revisions.
