The 1950 GPU is there because I will be upgrading to the next flagship Nvidia when it comes out.

How would this set-up manage with current games?

You'll need a fan for that cooler, id go for a p35 board instead, SLI's a bit of a false investment imo.
That RAM is massively overkill, unless your planning to overclock with liquid nitrogen or something ? Personally id get 2x2gb sticks to allow for future upgrades too, something likethis.

Id personally buy a 620w corsair PSU, though if you have the cash to throw around and don't want savings thten the PSU youve chosen is very nice, just overkill imo.

ID get 2 hard drives and run them in RAID 1 or 0.

Not sure how well that graphics card would run a 24" screen, even on a temporary basis, but youd certainly see a boost in performance when upgrading lol

The 1950 I choose doesn't look that bad I thought, 620mhz, 512mb.

Change that motherboard to the DDR2 version, you have the DDR3 version.

Why have you put in 2 CPU Coolers?

It will also be worthwhile to change the DVD Drive to a SATA DVD Drive, something like this will be fine:

One more thing, do you kno the extra features of Vista Ultimate and will you use them? Home Premium is perfectly fine.

Might be worthwhile to get two 500GB Wester Digital Hard Drives, their seems to be a massive jump from 500GB and 750GB drives.

Sorry, when I edited my first post I removed the part that said I am getting the flagship next-gen Nvidia when it comes out. I'm just getting the 1950 Pro to last me until then.

I havn't got 2 CPU fans have I? The Noctua NF-S12 is a case fan (which I have two of) and the NH-U12F is the CPU fan.

I choose Ultimate for the media features. It's not that much more than premium and I think I would find the extra features usefull.

I choose that HDD purely because I've seen it reccomended here a lot. It's meant to be nearly as fast as Raptors.

Not a good idea. No one knows when Nvidias new range will be out, the new range as in, which will beat the GTX/Ultra. It will most likely be out next year.

The Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler doesn't come with a fan so you need to get a 120mm fan to go with it. Then you won't need the Noctua NH-U12F CPU Cooler.

Id go for a tuniq 120 there up there with the best air coolers, and has a fan included.


Waiting for the new GPU's from nvidea might give you a better stop gap GPU to use.
