Hello all,

Seems to be a lot of build specs this weekend so thought I'd throw mine into the mix ^^

Ram ~£150.00
G.Skill Trident "Low Latency" 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C6 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit

- 1600MHz DDR3
- CL 6-7-6-18 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
- Lifetime Warranty
- 1.60-1.65 Volts
- 240 Pin DIMM

With the 5870 not in at the moment, if I do go ahead and buy all this together will the rest of my order be held up waiting for the 5870?

Any suggestions / criticisms greatly appreciated

looks fine, mobo might be a little excessive but other than that looks great, what case is this going in? I assume you don't need disk drive etc. You going to overclock? if so you'll need another CPU cooler.

Will you be running crossfire in the future as you can drop the psu down to 520w / 620w.

I had the Rampage in mind for a while and after reading Chronictank's post it didn't sway my opinion really. I'll use the disc drive out of my current pc, though it is IDE. Would there be that much of a benefit from getting a Sata disc drive?

It's going to go in a TJ07 under water. "Oh no, not another one" I hear you scream xD. But that won't be for a while, what with Christmas and three birthdays in December. An expensive few months!

I thought it would be better to buy a higher watt PSU to give me the option to crossfire in the future. Or is that still overkill?

I was looking for this to last me a fair while with the only potential upgrades being crossfire, more HDD's etc...

Oh and thanks for the quick replies

well if you're set on that motherboard mate then go for it. You look pretty set and everything looks fine, 850 watt is fine if you're looking to crossfire etc, could save 9 pound by getting a corsair one.

As for your new build don't forget to post piccies!!

I thought it was the other way around and the Be Quiet was cheaper - must've been looking the 1kw :P

Is there any real difference between them? I did read a review in CPC a month or two ago about the Corsair and they seemed to rant and rave about it. 7 Year warranty too...

Choices choices choices ^^
