Hi,

Looking to build a new computer for general use and occasional gaming.

Just wanted to check that the below spec is all compatible and that i'm getting good best performance for money. I've already got an optical drive and PSU so don't need any of those

I've gone for an overclocked bundle as I have no experience doing it myself and lack the time.

Components included in the bundle are:

- CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 95W Edition 2.80GHz @ 3.80GHz
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
- Cooler: Akasa Venom CPU Cooler (Upgrade options available)

Absolute maximum budget is £700

you can change the case to the antec 300 if you want to

The PSU is a CoolerMaster Igreen 500W, hopefully this will be enough?

Also, just had a thought, will the motherboard http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-278-GI work with the graphics card, as the card seems quite bulky and looks as though it might take up two slots.

your right, it does take up two slots, so kiss goodbye to that pci slot underneath.

as for the psu, your lucky its a ati card, that are more power efficient, it should be ok

IMO Asgard + Aftermarket fans @ £35 > Antec 300 @ £45

Better cable managment and aruguably better cooling (according the newly discovered rule that moar fans = better cooling

)
