OCZ Stealth Xstream II 600W PSU - 3x SATA 2x PCI-E

Just wondering if it all will be compatable, i have win 7 and optical drive. Is the PSU good enough or would i need a new one?

Also would the gtx 460 768MB version be worth changing to over the 1Gb?

Also my budget is 650, but spending less would be nice!

Cheers in advance

Your system as listed will have no compatibility issues. And the advantage of the 1GB graphic card are I believe worth the extra few pounds.

The PSU will be more than adequate and there is a quite a bit of head room built into that PSU for future upgrades I think.

What are the main advantages of the 1GB apart from running at higher res? just wondering if the 50-60 price difference is worth it?

The other choice is a 5770 but feal that even the 768 will beat this?

EDI* also is the artic 7 cooler still best low price cpu cooler? as want to slightly OC the cpu to around 3.2-3.4

Ah I see the 460GTX 768 is on special right now. When you put it like that then no it is not worth the £50 difference.

£199 price tag graphic card crown is with the HD5850 right now. £117 for a 460 is great value and as I said almost unbeatable.

cheers will go with the 460gtx 768, save my self a couple of quid and also dont really play at very high res as my monitor only as nat res 1600 x 1024 and usually play at 1280 x 1024 so dont really think the 1gb will be worth it, cheer for advice.

Also just checked my spare PSU and its doesnt seem to work :( so cant use the OCZ one. Any other that will be suitable for my spec?

* Antec Basiq Plus 550W Modular Power Supply would this be fine or would i need to go 600w?

550W will be more than adequate and if your gaming at that low res the 768mb 460 will also play it verrry well.

I'd spend £1 extra getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus instead:
http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=2923

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2's heatsink is shorter in height (but is fatter), and only uses a 92mm fan, whereas the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus is taller and using a 120mm fan, plus it has mount for adding an extra fan for push/pull config.
