im running a 256MB 7600GT (*i think*) and at the moment I have Vista 32bit but I'm deffo gonna upgrade a little way down the line.

That psu is absolutely fine as is 4gb ram as well. If you are getting a 64bit operating system later, just get another 4gb later, or 8gb even better.

PSU is perfectly adequate.
I'm running a Phenom II X4 @ 3.8GHz, 4GB RAM, HD6870 on it and its only pulling around 320W from the wall

530W is more than adequate, it's also a good PSU. And 4gb should be fine, I wouldn't get any more.

I'm going back into music again and wanted to know what sound card you use?
I'm buying a new sandy bridge system this week and I'm just stuck on what sound card to get?
I know the Sandy bridge will handle the software and vst side but the on board audio won't.
So any help would be appreciated

If I where you I'd be looking at the ASUS DS or D1. I use the DS and it's brilliant.

Why go for expensive 8gb ram?
I've just bought this, it's a great price.
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL ) £79.99
Thats £40 cheaper than the OCZ ram, yes it's not as higher frequency, but it's not really needed tbh. I was tempted to go for some expensive £100+ 8GB ram, but SB prefers lower timings than higher frequency, so £40 for a 266mhz increase isn't worth it.
Use the £40 towards something else tbh.
