Just wondering if this seems ok to you guys? Also would this perform better than my current rig - Foxconn A6VMX mobo, AMD Athlon X2 4800+ @ 2.5GHz, 2GB Generic RAM, 8800GTS 512MB.

Already have case, drives etc. Also what PSU would you reccommend?

TIA

Hi
What's the system to be used for? For general use it'll be smoother, but if you plan to game you want at least a 460 in there, the 440 is prob only on a par with your 8800 which isn't great by today's standards, I'd also recommend a better mobo personally, get one of the 800 series boards if you can afford to

thanks for replay, will mainly be used for gaming although the most taxing game i play is a heavily modded oblivion.

looked at the 800 series boards, bit pricey for me really, how good are the 700 series in comparison?

Drop to a X3 and you can get a better mobo in there.

Such as this:

XFX ATI Radeon HD 5750 XXX 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
(£69.99) £83.99

Asus M4A88T-M AMD 880G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
(£49.99) £59.99

AMD Athlon II X3 Tri Core 445 3.10GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail
(£47.49) £56.99

Patriot Viper 2 Sector 5 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit
(£29.16) £34.99

Sub Total : £196.63
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DPD Next Day Parcel
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £9.50
VAT is being charged at 20.00% VAT : £41.23
Total : £247.36

Much better mobo and graphics - though the graphics is still not brilliant for gaming, but will still easily cope with Oblivion :p dependant on your resolution.

Yeah there was less price difference last week it seems to of widened again, a 760G may be best bet on a limited budget, whats your total budget? to include mobo/cpu/ram/gfx and psu
