Copied wrong build

This is the one I was going to post.

I have that mobo and it does everything I need it to do, without any extra fancy features... Gotta love Blue and white bios :D none of this "mouse" nonsense.

But it can be upgraded if mobo is rev 2.0+ and that will have fancy bios.

He doesn't get free P&P and the mobo is listed as missing accessories :( He won't be ordering with this weeks offers I think however I will do another quick stab at it as I'm bored.

Could use a cheaper case but the shinobi is nice. 2TB HDD because I could, optical drive in the spec too so he could rip his DVD collection to the storage drive for convenient playback. Sata cables in there as I think they will be missing :(

Frozr III < Windforce X2 < Frozr IV. The Frozr IV isn't voltage locked (like the other two GPUs) so overclocking will be easier, it's cooler is improved over the Frozr III and at RRP is the same price as the Windforce (which Stulid has kindly listed the pros for).

I do prefer the look of the Frozr III and at RRP it should be cheaper than the Windforce. Any of the these GPUs want to be overclocked for more performance. We can talk the OP through using MSI afterburner which can set custom fan speeds as well as tweak their clock speeds :D

Thanks for that bud :)

No worries fella.

I think I'd rather use a new Z77 mobo (which i have spec'd you in the past) but it's just to show what's possible. In your other thread I already discussed the pros of having a modular PSU, tis a slight luxury so the XFX 450W is a no brainer even if it's not modular.

Nah.

I think a modular PSU on a cheaper/small case is a very good thing to have.

Thats what makes these specs so good.

They also include a Z77 board so you wont have any overclocking Vcore/LLC/Limited ratio issues should you add a i5 3570K or greater.

Heres another good modular PSU - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-053-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084

I have already spec'd builds just like that with modular 550W PSUs weeks ago and explained the benefits. I have said many a time that using modular PSU in midi towers can be a god send for cable management. You are very late to this party Stulid this isn't his first spec me thread by a long shot ;)

Spec from the 29th of October with the OEM OS took it way over £500 ;)

Just pointing out why going for a Z68 board may not be the best idea for the OP;)

And that spec is way over £450-£500;)

Well i've given Lazder some flak in the past so I didn't want to shoot his idea down to quick. At £35 the Z68 could be considered disposable. I had also done a spec with the Z77 and G840 with the same idea to write off the pentium CPU for an i5K down the road.

It's £528 with the OS taken off, so cheaper than Dunns first spec but those prices are now invalid. I have hinted at the windows 8 preview many a time ;)

Sounds like the poor guy doesn't have a job, so I don't consider anything that costs £35 disposable;) that cant be much less than the weekly job seekers benefits.

And I'm not late to any party, he's started a new thread:p

Then by your logic he can't afford an i5K upgrade on the Z68 or Z77.....can he smartass? lol

But he says he may have a job in 3months,

What's a 'Mobo' and 'Bios'. Hono, I shall save £500 and use windows 8 for a while but tbh I don't know if I'll have enough for windows 7 in 3 months xD I'll hopefully have a job by then though :)

So spending more or better "core" components is the better move now.

P.S don't call me smartass, I may take offense;)

Just joking :D

But all the specs here look good. At the end of the day a modular PSU is a luxury but in small cases a luxury that should be considered straight away.

Any of the specs here would do great though! :)

A Pentium with a 7850 would last I suspect a year tops before you start needing a replacement. But by then the i5's should be less than £100 for a K edition. As long as you have a Z motherboard.

He "may" be a millionaire next saturday with the lotto draw.....who knows? lol

Funny thing is he started a thread using one of my specs with a G840, the H61-D3V and the XFX 450W PSU and Zalman T1 for £500 and you ok'd it. There is always wiggle room but I do agree that a decent case, PSU and mobo is a must really. Balancing a build is very important, I know your name carries more weight than mine Stulid, so it's nice that you have echo'd what I have already told him :)

P.S I apologise if I could have offended you but I know you are a big boy and can take some light hearted banter :D

Well that mobo is really up to the job and wont limit the performance of the PC unless guy decides to go virtu.. At the end of the day its 35 quid and is disposable, better than buying 100 pounds i3 that you will throw out soon to get i5.

You might compare my idea with getting G840, that you would later throw out, but Z68 motherboard doesnt ruin performance against Z77 as much lets say G840 vs 3570K.

If you add an Ivybridge 3570K (for example) CPU to that board the maximum overclock you can get from it is 3.8 Ghz it doesn't have a UEFI AMI BIOS and the multiplier only goes upto the maximum Turboboost ratio.
