Wouldn't I be better off going for 6400 Geil rather than 5300 Crucial? Remember, I don't plan to overclock :)

Thanks,
Craig.

Oh, thought you said you were going to have ago at it? :D

EDIT

Oh, and I don't plan to overclock, but I'd like the option to be there please.

Thanks,
Craig.

HAHAHA :p :p :p, just messing with you.

I said maybe :p

So, Crucial 5300 or Geil 6400!? ;)

Crucial still, you will find it very hard to tell the diffrence between 6400 and 5300 Memory at stock, but you will be able to tell the diffrence between the Crucial and the Geli Ram if you do overclock in the furture.

Hehe Geli RAM :p

I'll check the Crucial out, thanks :)

Lifetime warranty is good although who needs lifetime warranty? 10 years is way more than enough, 3 years would do me fine tbh. And yeh get the crucial RAM either way.

10 years is more than enough, but what if you have the PC still rattling along in 10 years and the graphic card fails??!!? :p

Yeh it is probably faster at stock speeds although the other stuff is perfectly fine, its up to you really.

Only £10 more for the 6400 :)

Would the 6400 be just as good at overclocking if I was to go for it?

Sweet setup, im sure your enjoy it. Might be handy getting an aftermarket cpu cooler, something cheap and extremly quiet like a Arctic Freezer 7 Pro.

I have a Scythe Ninja Rev A on my current PC which I love :D

I was thinking of ordering a non-stock heatsink after I had got the PC, but I guess it's best if I order the heatsink to start with so I don't have to mess around inside once the PC is built.

Seeing as my case price just dropped £30 (from P180 to Lian-Li PC-7) I'll stick in a Scythe or something :D

Thanks,
Craig.

I have another question!

It was mentioned above that the 520w Corsair will be sufficient for this system, but will it be sufficient for upgrades along the lines of:

another 2GB RAM, quad core, another 500GB hard drive (or two).

Thanks,
Craig.

Corsair 520W is highly rated for quality & efficency, however PSU's do lose their efficency over time ... future proofing is hard its probably better to buy new stuff when you want to upgrade.

You can get the Corsair 620W version if you want which might seem more future proofing but i really would only get the 520W, more than enough.

One of my first additions to this PC will be another 500GB hard drive for backups, and then another 2GB of RAM. Will the 520w handle that alright?

Thanks,
Craig.

Yes, should be fine although if you can afford an extra £30 for the 620w version its probably best and wouldnt be overkill when you add an extra 2GB RAM & a 500GB HD.

Ok, I guess a 620 would be best :)

Thanks,
Craig.
