Hey all,
Finaly upgrading my computer and before I commit to anything I would like to run it past your eyes, see if you see anything that could be a problem.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500
Mobo: Gigabyte X38-DQ6
GFX: 8800GT 512Mb
Audio: Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer
Mem: GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4
PSU: Corsair HX 620W Modular PSU
Cooler: Tuniq Tower 120
On a note about the Memory I have read that Geil are good with Gigabyte motherboards I hope this is still the case with the new chipsets.
Also I have been advised by a friend in the computer games industry that the extra L2 cache in the E4x series is a good enough reason to fork out that exta for, his reasoning being how many programs do you know under 1mb.
I noticed that the 4 series runs a different core... how does its overclocking stack up to the conroe's.
Thanks for your help I realy appriciate any advice you have to give.
