Spec help

Hi guys, I'm planning on building a second gaming capable machine (so I have one at work and one at home).

Built my first in August last year, just wondered what you would recommend to go with these components which I already have from OC - a GTX 670 Windforce 3X 2Gb and OCZ 550W power supply.

So I'm shopping for a case, processor, RAM, HDD.

I was thinking of making an exact same build but not sure about entering the Haswell scene that has appeared since last year, and also if there are better versions now of the components below that you guys would recommend.

i5-3570K @3.40GHz
Seagate 1TB HDD
Corsair Carbide 300R
Patriot Viper Xtreme 8GB

Will be running at 1080p.

What motherboard will you be using and do you need one?

Yep I need one, I was going to buy the Gigabyte Z77X-D3H again, unless there is a better alternative that anybody recommends.

Easy enough - 4670K and Gigabyte Z87X-D3H.

Thanks Teppic, I see you have the i7 4770K. worth getting that instead for the price difference?

For gaming, not really. It's a big increase in price. For most existing games you'd get no increase at all in FPS, though in multi-threaded ones you'd get a small bump.
