yes, but it would't be nice to give him just a card for 100£, yes it would be cooler and probably quieter but performance wise he would be standing still, the least i can do is explain some things he might miss when considering a new GPU, then he picks what he wants, not like if am dragging him by the ears
to buy stuff...

All but like 5 members work for overclockers, must be it.
Depends how quickly you sort this, however I might be upgrading my graphics card soon. Currently have a Gigabyte WindForce R9 280x, no idea on 2nd hand market value tbh. So it might appear in the Members Market soon if you're interested.
It is a bloody big gfx card though o.O

the 770 is a little gem of a card for the money. Its certainly got a lot more punch than anything new at that price point. Enjoy

Its much better in temps as well... my 470 was running at just a tad above 100 maxed out whilst playing Skyrim, its rated for those temps but I consider it really unhealthy especially as it used to run at about 80 at the same settings!!!
Same config in Skyrim at the 770 highest temp hit something like 59 I think... Also Maya has improved, dynamics are so much smoother in play back. Well worth it.
