spec me 3 servers and 2 computers

hi guys - I know this is a big spec request, its for my university assignment (creating a business plan) and I need to purchase 3 servers and 2 high end machines - budget is £15k without software.....

any help appreciated - I just went on the dell site but thought as I can claim the VAT back (as its for business) I could go about it this way too.

any help appreciated.

btw - it is for a small business doing web design and hosting so speed, memory and processing is a must on all machines, but sound and graphics is only required on the 2 work stations. monitor, keyboard + mouse and headphones included for both pls

In the politest way possible possible mate, you might be waiting a while for someone to spec you something like this. It's mainly because a lot of people on here don't have the time to do a spec of that sort of size.

I guess the other point is that OcUK don't really do too many server parts (if any), and because we're not allowed to mention competitors on here we can't really advise you on where else to have a look.

Just out of curiousity though, how come you need 3 servers and 2 workstations? would one server not be enough for the two workstations, or are the three servers meant to do completely different jobs?

yeah I see your point - tbh I didnt expect an answer after I posted it lol - I did kinda laugh at the idea of someone spending a good 3 hours speccing up 5 machines lol

15k for business computing appliances isnt really that much actually. especially for this sort of business where all software has to be paid for, quality hard ware for 2 of the machines... it all builds up

dell want me to pay them 14k if it was up front but thankfully they allow installments

yeah the 3 servers will be just for the web. 1 permanently online, 1 for when the first needs a shut down and the third is for backing up work, and incase one was to break down.
