Hi, my friend wants to build a pc for his uni work including Photoshop, Auto-Cad and plenty of Football Manager, he has a budget around £400 max and he wants something relatively small to fit on his desk, he doesn't need any peripherals or a monitor. Can anyone spec something that will be fast enough to multitask and run the programs above. He also wants an ssd.

Thanks in advance

Slightly overbudget but your getting the very latest CPU / board combo. The IRIS onboard graphics will be a nice help if this does get pushed harder as there isn't really any justification for a full graphics card.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-6400 2.70GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - Retail £150.95
1 x Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 Mini ITX Motherboard £109.99
1 x Crucial BX100 250GB SSD SATA 6Gbps 7mm Solid State Drive (CT250BX100SSD1) £68.99
1 x Kingston Fury Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-21300C15 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black (HX426C15FBK2/8) £44.99
1 x BitFenix Colossus M Mini ITX - Black £34.99
1 x be quiet! System Power 7 350W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £25.99
Total : £450.00 (includes shipping : £11.75 Ex.VAT).

Alternatively if the budget really must be stuck to this would do the job.

Aren't all of the new generation ones badged as Iris now?

Either way, it's still an improvement over the onboard on haswell :)

Yeah. My bad. Didn't realize HD 530 fell under "Iris" till now. It's the Iris Pro that never got placed on the Skylakes, which I mixed up.
